By missing the dairy fair and falling asleep together, a tired boy and his cow win the internet.

Mitchell Miner is 15 years old. He and his cow, Audri, recently competed in the dairy kettle display at the Iowa State Fair. Despite their efforts and determination, they finished fifth out of seven. They were both fatigued. When the boy’s father came in to picture them cuddling side by side, they fell asleep. The photo was captioned, “Our son Mitchell with his heifer after yesterday’s show.” The photo garnered over 15,000 likes by the next day.

Mitchell’s mother is Laura Miner. She told the Des Moines Register, “I think if you spend that much time with kids, they’ll do pretty well.” Her spouse and she grew up on a farm. They want their children to have a connection to their roots now that they reside in a different location. So, over the summer, the family borrows animals so that the children may experience farm life. Mitchell’s father is Jeremy Miner. He stated, “From the farm, we learned a lot.” We’ve been raised with those values, and we do everything we can to keep them alive. ” When the September events are done, Audri, the sleeping cow, will return to the dairy farm.
