A terrified stray gets the strength to beg one guy to help him.

Stray animals are not only malnourished but they are also left alone to deal with medical difficulties, writes ilovemydogsomuch.

Thankfully, animal heroes do everything they can to assist. When a group learned of a homeless dog with a big tumor, they set out to find him. It wasn’t easy, but they eventually got a call that he was strolling about a local pagoda.

They were astounded by the magnitude of the mass on his shoulder when they arrived. The dog was clearly in agony and proceeded to lick it away. The rescuers were heartbroken that he had gone through this alone. They needed to bring him to the vet facility as soon as possible.

He was now classified as an emergency and was taken to Emergency Vet Partner. The vet was surprised that the dog had lasted this long! When the vet and his colleagues came closer, they could smell the infection brewing in the tumor and the surrounding tissue. It was full of pus and blood. He required surgery right away.

It was like staring at a completely different dog after the vet removed the tumor. He still required IV antibiotics and pain relievers 24 hours a day. When he was discharged, the rescue group began seeking out to medical foster homes for him.

Surprisingly, the former stray recovered faster than predicted and was able to travel to his new home. His medical foster mother really adores him! She ensures that he attends all of his vet visits and takes all of his medications. He’s still on pain medicine, but he’s doing great! According to the veterinarian, he will fully recover and lead a regular life.
